TO OBTEIN EQUIVALENT FRACTIONS:
- In order to obtein another fraction equivalent to the one given, we only have to multiply or divide its terms (numerator and denominator) by the same number.
The
product of the numerator of a fraction by the denominator of
the other must have the same value in both cases.
That is the same than saying "We "cross-multiply" its terms.
